Honda Accord Service Manual 99
You can actually register on Honda's website and get the manual in PDF format. On the buttom of the website, look for 'Owners Recources', click on that and register for an account. You will need your VIN number. Honda can pull up the exact model and options you have on your car. Once you registered, look for 'Service manual' Under My Carname (Mine shows as MY ACCORD). You can then download it in PDF format, and print the page you want.Really?
That's hard to believe, but I'm gonna try it right now. EDIT: Tried it. Only Owner's manual is listed.
I don't see any mention of Service manual. The helms manual does have electrical diagrams in it.
They are not as detailed as what is in the ETM that goes along with it, but there is more than enough to troubleshoot. This should be what you need The original Helms service manual is no longer available from Helm Publishing. If you go to their website using the link you sent you will see that it clearly states if is a 'digital reproduction (i.e. If you then add it to your cart you will see a big announcement pop up stating that it may be in lose leaf form with a binder included and that electrical diagrams that were in the original are not included in the copy. So I called Helm to ask about it and they said yes, it is definitely lose pages and some electrical diagrams are not reproducible. So I went on ebay and and found an original copy for 50 bucks and grabbed it. Other copies I saw were 95.00.
Just got lucky. Also found one at a dealer that I may be able to get next week. It's an old in-service copy, but all there. I could probably get it for about the same price if someone's interested. Let me know in the next two days.
If the 99 manual is anything like my 95 manual, which I assume it is very similar, then there was no fold out section that would make for hard copying. I would guess that sales for that manual have dropped and thats why they aren't printing them. They probably have a scanned copy and just run off a set when an order is placed instead of paying for the nicer ones to be made in bulk and not sell all the copies they had printed. But thats just a guess and it still wouldn't account for why some of the electrical diagrams are missing. What I'd like to know is are they selling these 'lose' manuals for the same price as the other nicer one or have they cut the cost?
If they haven't dropped the price then I wouldn't be ordering one. You can actually register on Honda's website and get the manual in PDF format. On the buttom of the website, look for 'Owners Recources', click on that and register for an account. You will need your VIN number.

Gotta go with haynes, but hopefully my brother can get me the info/docs i need from honda site since he works at the dealer. I tried this, only shows 'OWNERS' manual, not service.
Gotta go with haynes, but hopefully my brother can get me the info/docs i need from honda site since he works at the dealer. I got a bit overzealous in hunting down the manual and ended up buying two of them! I plan to sell one. Both are the official bound paperback Honda Accord factory service manuals, but only the newer one covers the 02.
You can not buy these manuals from Helm as they no longer carry them. The ones they sell now are reproductions, are not bound, and don't have some of the wiring diagrams according to Helm's website. If you add the item to your cart there you will see the anouncement about the wiring diagrams. Here's what I've got.
If there's a for-sale section I will post an official thread there soon, and probably on ebay. 1998-2001 Accord factory service manual (Pretty beat up cover and page edges from shop use, but surprisingly clean inside.) $-2002 Accord Factory Service Manual (Absolutely pristine, never-been-opened condition. Appears to never have even been read). $60.00 I only want to keep one of them. PM if interested. Edit/Delete Message.
